Anna Madsen
Get to the know the photographer.
I picked up my first camera at 15, raiding my aunt's wardrobe with my cousins and pretending we were shooting for Vogue. I was supposed to be in front of the camera — but somewhere between the costume changes and the click of the shutter, I realized I'd rather be behind it.
That was the beginning of everything.
Since then I've photographed thousands of people across weddings, editorials, concerts, fashion, and families - and my analog film work has been seen by millions of people around the world. I'm an Army veteran, a former touring musician, and a New England transplant who's been proud to call this corner of the country home for the last decade.
When I'm not behind a camera, I'm writing music, making videos for YouTube, or dancing in the rain — probably with Etta James playing somewhere in the background and my cat Ziggy judging me from the window.
I believe every person has a story worth capturing cinematically. My job is just to make sure you look like the main character you already are.
